There was some confusion on the shipping, but in the end with Hogi's outstanding work the sword arrived and I am beyond happy with it. The fit and finsh is flawless and while using it to practice Iaido, its balance is perfect. The blade feels like it comes alive in my hands as I move through the kata. Thank for this. I had been wondering if this would really be a sharpened functional sword or just something they give Americans but kind of a prop. It is for a special project with a friend but also for exercise and discipline. Even if it will cause the blade to eventually have to be re-sharpened, it seems more honoring of the katana to use it for exercise so I carefully do this following guidance on proper sword practices, and find a lot of enjoyment, exercise, and full functionality setting up water bottles and other targets here in New Mexico scrub. I am luck to have private land, so I can attach them at all angles prior to recycling, and practice getting technique correct for a clean strike. If I miss, I have good exercise to pick up the bottle from where it lands. If I get the strike correct with this well balanced functional yet beautiful katana it cleanly cuts the bottle perfectly. So I know it was made with a lot of care. I have since promised my friend once I learn the technique well, and they do as well, I will get them the ultimate Carbon blade with clay fired edge. For now Spring Steel is prefect as we learn our techniques, it holds together very well with wonderful durability. After practice there is a feeling of exercise across the whole body (because setting up the proper strike requires good stance and core conditioning as well as development of the arms) and the spirit of the blade is honored through use, peacefully, but striving toward growth. Thank you for the hard work on this.

The blades tore right through the flimsy sheath, as well as the buttons ripped completely off. Those buttons kept the strap in place the blades into their sheath. Buyer beware.. blades cool but spirit halloween costume store quality for the sheath

Unfortunately, it took much longer than expected to come to me. I ordered it in mid May I believe. July 20th i was notified that it was finished however I did not receive my sword until August 24th. Once I got it I was very happy to finally have it. One thing I noticed which was not clear in the photos was that the pins in the handle stick out a bit more than expected. Also I had the understanding that the sword would be coming to me sharp. Not really sure what happened with that. Over all I'm pretty satisfied with the Nijato itself. It feels good in my hands and I love the weight and balance of it. However my overall experience with your company i found wanting. Sorry I couldn't be more positive about it. This is just how this transaction left me feeling. I can't honestly say that I would likely use your services again for my next purchase which would have been a Katana.
