The Chinese Spear (Qiang) is used in many variations on the pre-modern battlefield. Many generals preferred the use of the spear because it's techniques and applications were superior to those of other weapons. Because the spear was normally light given it's great length it could be wielded with quickness and agility. This yari spear features a fully sharpened leaf shaped blade hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel, finished with a traditional 12 stage hand polished finish and hand engraved with intricate designs. The shaft is made from top quality stainless steel. Spears are generally used for long distance attacks, with fast and powerful lethality. This spear is very sharp and can be used for cutting or thrusting. Each spear has been fully handmade from the ground up, no two blades will be exactly alike.
