This battle ready Dragon Dao blade is made of clay tempered & folded high carbon steel, designed from the ground up for practical Chinese martial arts training. The blade is heat-treated, tempered, and quenched to achieve optimal levels of durability and hardness. The blade is thick, powerful, and full tang. Traditional design with modern construction, this is not your average wushu sword. It is a weighty sword with a hand sharpened edge for practical use, or for serious collectors and Chinese history enthusiasts. It comes with a full rayskin wrapped scabbard, high quality engraved brass fittings, and a hardwood handle fully wrapped in natural rayskin. The sword is great for tai chi, kung fu, wushu, cutting practice, and display. It's durable enough for tameshigiri and bamboo. Each sword is individually handmade so specifications vary slightly from sword to sword.
