Clay Tempered T-10 High Speed Steel Rayskin Samurai Tanto Sword w/ Hazuya Polish

This high quality tanto is made of T-10 high speed steel, clay tempered with a polished mirror-like surface. The blade is completely polished with Hazuya which is a very thin Uchigumori stone. The Hazuya is used to bring out the beautiful cloudy hamon (temper line). It is a very strong blade made with traditional methods, for multiple applications. The blade is repeatedly heat treated and hand forged to remove impurities. The clay temper process combines the characters of toughness and flexibility and results in a genuine hamon (temper line) which is enhanced by the Hazuya stone. The blade is full tang and hand sharpened, suitable for battle. The sword comes with a rayskin wrapped black lacquer hardwood saya which matches the handle. This sword is a very good choice for dojo and iaido use, gifts, cutting practice, display, and collection. It is durable enough for tameshigiri, bamboo, bones, and iron wire.
